Lark in the Park has received an Civic award for outstanding achievement

In October 2008 Lark in the Park has been nominated by Chief Inspector Steve Murrant to receive the Civic recognition award. There are three different schemes.

  • Civic Recognition of Young people
  • Civic Recognition of Voluntary Service by Adults
  • Civic Recognition of Outstanding Achievement

Lark in the Park was nominated for the Civic Recognition of Outstaning achievement. The object of the award is to recognise outstanding achievement during the current year with a achievement that has been brought credit to the Borough of Bexley.

 

The Civic Awards are the most prestige awards given buy the Council and it is amazing that Lark in the Park has made such a difference to the community within the Borough of Bexley.

All the previous Mayor's of the London Borough of Bexley got together to vote between everyone who has been nominated and decided that Lark in the Park earned this award.

 

So a huge thank you to EVERYONE who helped at Lark in the Park. You made Lark in the Park to become what it is today, a gift to the community.

 

Phil Leighton, Mel Newsum, Peter Austin, Charlie Weston, John Arundel, Tabitha Smith, Sheila McGee, Paul Weston and Doreen Schiller had the priviledge to be part of receiving the award on the 25th February at the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath.
