Hall Hire

New Generation Centre, Birkbeck Road, Sidcup, Kent DA14 4DJ.

Hall: 19 metres by 6 metres by 3m high (enough for a regular sized bouncy castle).

Cost: £30 per hour including 30 mins set up and pack down time.

Deposit: £30 deposit to be paid once the booking date has been confirmed. 

What’s included:

  • Use of main hall (with front door access from the street)
  • Chairs and tables (in a variety of sizes)
  • Use of kitchen area (with facilities to make hot drinks, heat up food and wash up)
  • Use of seating area in the kitchen (with cafe chairs and tables)

We also have a small toddler bouncy castle (only for under 5’s) or an inflatable football pitch (see photo above) which are available for you to use at your own risk for a donation of £20 (castle) £30 (pitch; balls included!).

Once your date is confirmed, we will email you to ask you to pay the £30 deposit via our Paypal link (found below) and to read and agree to our Terms and Conditions of Hire (found below).

Terms and Conditions of Hire

Please read, and then confirm you agree to the Conditions of Hire.

  • TIDINESS AND CLEANLINESS  – Hirers are asked to leave the building tidy and clean after use. Please clear and hoover the main hall (hoover provided!). Take away all rubbish, clear away things used in the kitchen and check the toilets are left in a decent condition. Please be careful when decorating the hall – no adhesive or fixing material may be used which may damage the fabric of the building.
  • KITCHEN  – Hirers are welcome to use the following in the kitchen but please clean and tidy after use: Water Heater (for tea/coffee), Microwave and Oven but not the hob.
  • HALL  – Hirers are welcome to use the following in the hall but please clean and tidy after use: tables and chairs.
  • HEALTH AND SAFETY – Hirers must respect the fixtures and fittings in the building. No obstructions should be placed in fire exits/gangways and fire extinguishers should not be moved other than for emergency use. There is no smoking in any part of the building. Hirers are responsible for ensuring the safety of people in the venue for the duration of their hire. If you have any Health and Safety concerns, please inform the person unlocking for your event.
  • DAMAGE – The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to property or injury arising during a function. Please let the person unlocking know if anything is damaged.
  • ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT – Hirers are able to bring their own electrical equipment to use, but do so at their own risk.
  • NOISE – Hirers must keep noise to a reasonable level, and ensure that the windows and doors are kept shut during the party (we have to respect our neighbours, as the hall is set in a residential area). If you are using sound equipment you have provided, it must be regulated (you will know if it is too loud if the noise monitor on the wall hits red). Please be considerate when leaving the Centre, keeping noise to a minimum.
  • ALCOHOL – Only soft drinks to be consumed, no alcohol is to be brought onto the premises for consumption or re-sale (unless agreed in advance by the New Generation Office).
  • INFLATABLES/CASTLE – Hirers of the hall can use the bouncy castle or inflatable football pitch, but do so at their own risk.
  • CANCELLATIONS – Please advise us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a booking, we are unable to refund your £30 deposit, but will refund any additional balance which has been paid.
  • CONTACT – The hirer will be sent a contact mobile number for the day of the hire. You should contact this number with any issues or queries you may have.

New Generation Church reserves the right to cancel a booking, but will refund any deposit should this unlikely event occur.
