Hall Hire

 New Generation Centre, Birkbeck Road, Sidcup, Kent DA14 4DJ.

Cost: £35 per hour including 30 mins set up and pack down time.

Deposit: £30 deposit to be paid once the booking date has been confirmed. 

Hall: 19m by 6m by 3m high (enough for a regular sized bouncy castle).

The Hall is only available for children’s/family day time parties at the weekend. No teen birthdays or events after 6pm. No hires longer than 3 hours.

What’s included:

Use of carpeted main hall (with front door accessible access from the street)

40 chairs and 7 large trestle tables

Use of kitchen area (with facilities to make hot drinks, heat up food and wash up)

Use of seating area in the kitchen (with cafe chairs and tables)

We also have a small toddler bouncy castle (only for under 4’s) or an inflatable football pitch which are available for you to use at your own risk for a donation of £30 (castle) £40 (pitch only; you will need to supply your own soft footballs).

Terms and Conditions of Hire

Please read and then confirm you agree to the Conditions of Hire.

  • Cost – The hire charge for the New Generation Centre is £35 per hour. Half an hour either side of your booking is free for set up and pack down. Time needed beyond this will be charged at the hourly rate.
  • Booking Conditions – Please complete the booking request on the NGC website. Once the date is agreed please pay the £30 deposit to secure your booking and read and agree the T&Cs. New Generation reserves the right to cancel a booking but will undertake to refund any deposit should this unlikely event occur. Please advise us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a booking. New Generation are unable to refund your deposit of £30 but will refund any additional balance which has been paid. New Generation reserves the right to refuse a booking, without giving a reason, and to refuse entry to any individual.
  • Noise & Behaviour – Hirers must observe our restrictions on noise levels (Please note: It is essential that during the party session the hirer must check the sound levels from the outside of the building to ensure that the noise is at a reasonable level). Sound equipment must be regulated, to avoid upsetting nearby residents – you will know if it is too loud if the noise monitor on the wall hits red. No NGC sound equipment or PA may be used during the hiring – please do not touch! Please be considerate when arriving and leaving the Centre, keeping noise to a minimum. Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to terminate any function, or expel any person or persons attending as a result of unacceptable behaviour. Only soft drinks to be consumed. No alcohol is to be brought into the premises for consumption or re-sale (unless agreed in advance by the New Generation Office).
  • Health & Safety – No smoking in any part of the building or on our site. No obstructions should be placed in gangways or exits, and fire extinguishers should not be moved other than for emergency use. Hirers and their guests must respect the fixtures, fittings and furnishings within the Centre.      Inflatables – Hirers can use the bouncy castle or the inflatable football pitch but do so at their own risk. Kitchen – Hirers are welcome to use the following in the kitchen. Water heater (for tea/coffee), microwave and oven – not the Hob as it is induction. There are plates, cups and bowls as well as cutlery that can be used. Please ensure the kitchen, cooker, microwave etc are left clean and all cutlery/crockery is put away. You will need to supply your own sharp knives for cutting. The person booking the hire of the Centre is responsible for persons with a disability, and their evacuation from the building if necessary. Please note that New Generation accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage which occurs on their premises to people or equipment. You must ensure that you have adequate protection from your own organisation’s insurance or home insurance policy. Businesses must have Public Liability Insurance to the value of between £2-5million which must be attached to the booking form. If a child-related business is being run from the Centre then Regulatory Body Certs must be shown.
  • Premises & Damage – Payment for any damage or breakages will always be the responsibility of the hirer, whatever the extent. Any constructional work of any kind or the use of any electrical equipment not provided by New Generation cannot be allowed without the written consent of the New Generation office. Hirers using their own equipment do so at their own risk, and shall be liable for any damage or injury caused as a result of the use of such equipment. The Centre must be left in a clean and tidy condition, with all used furniture packed away, all surfaces wiped down and cleaned, and the floor space hoovered. The lights must be turned off. The setting up and putting away of tables and chairs is the responsibility of the hirer, except for conference bookings or other specific bookings where set up of the room has been agreed in advance.
    Please remove all rubbish from the premises and take it home with you. No blutak or other fixative to be used on our walls.
